Pete hits 100 leagues games. Steelers first centurion.

Peter Paget has become the South Lincs Steelers first walking football league games centurion. Pete completed his 100th match recently at a league meeting in Lincoln against Collingham FC where he was handed the captaincy for the game which ended in a 2-0 win.
Pete has competed for the club in the PDFL where he has played 55 matches, 35 Lincs over 50's and 12 Lincs over 60's matches, bringing his total to 102 games. Known for his defensive qualities has also contributed with a few goals too. He was also an integral part of the South Lincs Steelers blues WFC Division 2 title win this season.
Pete has been a big influence to others during his time at the club and gives out constant encouragement to his teammates. His commitment to the club shows no signs of wavering and the club fully expect him to hit another milestone in the future.
He is a shinning example of the reasons why Walking Football has become one a fastest growing sports about, He has not let his age or health issues get in the way of his love of playing the game and adds character and stature to the club.
Pete was awarded his commemorative 100 club shirt by Chairman Jamie Scaife at the annual AGM in June.
